O/S, PROGRAMS, APPLICATIONS: Once your operating system, and drivers has loaded into memory/ram, you are free to start working or enjoying your programs. The programs may be your Word Processor, Games. or Internet Browser. When you click on the ICON that opens the application, the program is loaded 
into memory. ALL PROGRAMS EXIST IN MEMORY. When you finish
creating a document, with the application, you have
to save the edits that you have created. When you save it, you in
essence copy it from the active live memory/RAM, onto t he
Hard Drive. It is important that you safeguard the original DISKS used to install your software, and that you make regular back-ups of all of your DATA. |
